...sadly, the nicest song from the new Hercules and Love Affair album. I kinda agree with Pitchfork here Andy, we love your slick and fresh disco-fused dance tracks... '87 house is behind you/us.
Cos/Mes are an underground Japanese duo who have had recent releases on Lovefingers curious ESP Institute label and King Kung Foo Records. Their pleasant aesthetic is likely inspired by or infused with the Tasha Hisha art collective, of which they are apart. Their sound is hard to pin down, but I would say it roughly floats between balearic, minimal house and ambient.
Their full length, Chaosexotica is out everywhere and its pretty nice. Here is the album teaser video and a few Cos/Mes tracks to pique your interest.
But there is a fixed price for it this time. Whatever, eh! Pre-order The King of Limbshere
'The name of the new album relates to an oak tree in Wiltshire's Savernake Forest, thought to be around 1,000 years old. The forest lies around three miles away from Tottenham House, a listed country house where Radiohead recorded part of 'In Rainbows'.
The tree is a pollarded oak, referring to an ancient technique for harvesting timber for fencing and firewood. The phrase also appears in the 23rd chapter of the Qu'ran.' - Thanks NME
Here is the lead single, Lotus Flower
To celebrate here's a nice b-side, a few of my favourite Radiohead songs and some recent Thom Yorke remixes/collaborations in the post-script.
